WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: This workshop is open to all levels and languages. Each day Micaiah Hardison will lead the group from our cozy base in Arcos to paint in inspiring locations within a short distance, such as the Sierra Nevadas, beaches of the Costa de la Luz, Cadiz, national parks, marinas, lakes, and other white villages and cortijos. Each day and night will offer opportunities for relaxation, adventure, great food and drink. Everyone will paint at their own pace with assistance and constructive critiques only upon request. After hours we can work on plein air nocturnes, studio landscapes from plein air studies, enjoy fine wines, up-building discussion and a lot of fun!
Besides painting we will enjoy typical Spanish foods, wine tasting, breathtaking scenery and relaxation. It is recommended to visit the Prado Museum and Museo Sorolla in Madrid on your way to or from Arcos. We can help you organize further travel if you are able.

MICAIAH HARDISON'S BIO: Trekking through Europe and South America with a roll of canvas strapped to my backpack, my first attempts at plein air painting were very ambitious. At 18 years old I was ignorant to the foundation of what I was attempting but excited by the colors and the experience. Since then, my painting travels have taken me all around the world until recently settling down in Spain with my wife, Alison and our 2 year-old daughter, Zahara.
My studies at Southern California ateliers, studies of masters, intense self instruction and years of constant painting have given me a deep appreciation for the traditional foundations of oil painting and the skills required to create good art.
I have dreamed of a magical landscape where students gather to share knowledge and learn from masters, an inspiring destination without distractions, full of up-building conversation, constructive critique and good times. My dream is a reality with Bravura Academy.
